Car Rental Terms and Conditions
- Rental Agreement: The renter agrees to abide by the terms and conditions set forth in this rental agreement when using any vehicle rented from our company.
- Eligible Drivers: Only the renter and additional drivers listed on the rental agreement are authorized to operate the rental vehicle. All drivers must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 23 years of age.
- Rental Period: The rental period begins when the renter takes possession of the vehicle and ends when the vehicle is returned to our designated location. Rentals are billed by the day. Late returns may incur additional daily charges.
- Rental Rates: Rental rates are based on the vehicle type, rental duration, and any optional services selected. Rates do not include taxes, fees, or optional insurance coverage. All charges will be clearly itemized on the final receipt.
- Fuel Policy: The renter is responsible for refueling the vehicle before returning it. If the tank is not full upon return, the renter will be charged a refueling service fee plus the cost of fuel.
- Permitted Use: The rental vehicle is to be used for lawful purposes only. It may not be used for racing, towing, or off-road driving. The renter is liable for any damage or tickets incurred during the rental period.
- Liability Insurance: Minimum liability insurance is provided, but the renter may purchase optional collision damage and personal accident/effects coverage. The renter is responsible for any damages or loss not covered by the provided insurance.
- Return Policy: The renter must return the vehicle to our designated location during our normal business hours. Any vehicle not returned on time may incur additional daily charges.
- Cleaning Fees: The renter is responsible for returning the vehicle in a reasonably clean condition. Excessive dirt, stains, or odors may result in a cleaning fee.
- Prohibited Activities: Activities such as smoking, transporting illegal goods, and allowing unauthorized drivers are strictly prohibited and may result in additional fees or termination of the rental agreement.

Car Rental Deposit
A refundable deposit of €300 is required at the time of rental. This deposit can be paid in cash or by credit/debit card. The deposit will be fully refunded upon return of the vehicle in the same condition it was rented, with a full tank of fuel.
The deposit is used to cover any damages, excessive cleaning fees, or other charges that may be incurred during the rental period. The renter is responsible for the full cost of any damages or fees that exceed the €300 deposit amount.
The deposit will be refunded to the original payment method within 5-7 business days of the vehicle’s return, provided there are no outstanding charges.

Accidents and Age Limits
In the event of an accident, the renter is obliged to inform both the rental company and the police. Failure to do so will result in the renter assuming full responsibility. Additionally, there is an age limit for car rental. Only individuals aged 70 and below are permitted to rent a car. The rental company reserves the right to deny car rental services to individuals who exceed this age limit.

The restrictions to rent a car with Ecocar Platanias are:
- The renter must be at least 23 years of age
- The renter must have held a valid driver’s license for more than 2 years
- A valid credit card is required as a deposit for the rental
- The renter must present their driver’s license and a valid ID (passport or national ID card) at the time of pick-up
- Additional drivers can be added for a small fee, but they must also meet the minimum age and license requirements
- Rental rates vary by vehicle type, rental duration, and additional options selected
- Unlimited mileage is included, but one-way rentals may incur additional fees
- Full Insurance coverage options are available for an additional cost”
